Meet the Artist: @Tea.Doorante

3. When did you realize you enjoyed making art or when did you start making art?

Well, I kinda already answered this… but since I grew up without Internet or TV, I was bored constantly, so I picked up drawing as a hobby.

4. What style of art did you start off with and is it the same today? What else have you tried? What are your favorite styles of art?

From like kindergarten to 8th grade, I copied whatever my sisters were doing since that’s all I knew at the time.

During high school was when I started to get exposed to more art. I was influenced by Jessica Madorran as I mentioned before. Once I got further into my art classes (around sophomore year of high school), I started shifting toward surrealism to which I became inspired by artists like Audrey Kawasaki and Mark Ryden.

It wasn’t really until after high school where I started to define my own style. While I still love surrealism, I find myself leaning more towards avant garde makeup/high fashion while looking for inspiration for my art.
