Ana aka Latinachika has been an educator for over a decade.
She specializes in Ethnic Studies: LatinX Studies, Black Studies, Native American Studies, and Indigenous Religious Traditions and Spiritualities Studies.
Her work focuses on the impacts of the use of security technologies in middle schools and high schools under school safety policies. Ana uses critical race theory to analyze the history and practice of these policies, as well as the disproportionate use of these policies on students of color.
She was born in Los Angeles and raised by two amazing immigrant parents from Mexico and El Salvador.
I love my culture and that is a major reason why I started this magazine and continue to work hard on it.
My goal is empower and inspire!
